As a reader of my blog, you all know that I am pursuing MBBS(Now in final year). You all know that MBBS is not an easy thing to do. Even if I pass somehow by cramming before the exam, still I can’t escape acquiring knowledge to treat patients.
While I cannot say that I don’t like this profession, it will be wrong to say that I am passionate about being a doctor.
The things that I am really passionate about are Money, entrepreneurship, business and Financial markets. Considering all these factors, the first thing that comes to my mind is that I should do a business degree after MBBS.
To understand business, one should preferably do an MBA. Now I am stuck in the dilemma that if I should do MBA after my MBBS completion or not.
I want to learn each and every aspect of Business basically. To accomplish this, I should preferably join reputed and well ranked MBA college in the world.
Now the problem that comes in between is I left maths for a while. To join reputed MBA Institutes in the world, one should clear GMAT with high score. Maths is a part of the exam. Yup I can again study maths!
If I somehow manage to get a high GMAT score, the next obstacle will be applying and getting selected.
Usually, these reputed institutions(Harvard Business School for example) look for extraordinary achievements or work experience. I don’t have any of them. (for now)
But then, I have a burning desire to learn how businesses operate and the ability to make a quick critical decision(best and rationally correct decision) in a short period of time despite a level of uncertainty.
The final year of MBBS is pretty tough. In the final year, you need to study the main subjects such as Surgery and Medicine.
I am also solving some questions of GMAT while studying for MBBS. Let’s see what happens.
I think everything will work out somehow. As steve Jobs said:
You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.
